It's All We Feel, Every Day

1.
A break of day the fall of the night See the sky, transform in all its glory Would I stay and would you go? See us through these lights overhead Invested in time we had too much of Where’s the return i can’t seem to find Memory tucked inside dusted off to shine Where’s it now? it’s gone from our sights Break our ties and find out how to fly for so long high above the buildings, where will we end up? Let’s watch the earth as it spins out of control we’re relieved and free…above it all
2.
We always thought it would pass We never thought it would fade so fast We watch the world go by We don't need to do anything at all Let us rest easy for once we never had a chance Will you remind me of where we went wrong? I don't have a clue If we stay around, we'll never know if this could have been What was meant to be we won't find out We always told ourselves that the end was close Watching our lives, pass before our eyes states of disrepair... only make things stronger

Rivers 04:52
See the horizon crumble into dust The ashes of being resetting this trust Mountains of hope unreached by fate The turn of the tides in a singular state See our rivers dry into sand The grains of feeling tempted inside our hands Swim deeper now - there’s no turning around Don’t come back only you know where we are Looking up at the passing rivers Heads down ashamed of where it’s gone Staring down with the flowing tides We never gave up til it broke completely
5.
Never did I think it would last forever Never did I think it'd fade this fast And what did we say and what did we change again to remove ourselves from this picture This doesn't all seem real to me The past leaves the present and the future looks so uneasy Always starting again never trying to look back Searching for what was never meant to be We're flying high to who knows where and who will I see to make it all go away
6.
Souls Intact 05:45
The oceans below gave way setting life adrift A passage in time set the ways of the future that passed Fleeting moments were lost in translation so fast Happening right now at all costs Sending all these signals Where do they end up? Promises etched in stones unable to move Water cascades over dreams Swimming in the river Farewell to the unknown It's time to move on CH: I longed for it all but it never happened If I gave it up for tomorrow Where would today be? And would it exist? Without our souls intact and ready to burst
7.
In Silence 06:07
Slipping away in silence let's go our separate ways Connecting again, once we're found when our hearts melt over Slipping away in silence
8.
9.
Wouldn't know what to do even if we tried to run It was in and out of focus right in front me Reaching and holding only to let it go Because I couldn't finish a thought with you where Did you all know if we could stay frozen in time You couldn't call today We should know if we couldn't stay What could we do because it was our fault Raised up on a higher ground Sitting and watching it go all below And what are you gonna say when the sky comes crashing down We're interlocked and we'll always shine
10.
Reverse this thinking it’ll only cause you harm it’s no fault of your own Lay down let it take over wash your fears away The only way to found out is to let yourself go head

about

Phenotract's 4th full length "It's All We Feel, Every Day" delves deeper into the ethereal electronica territory hinted at on his last release "Shifting". Melding together an amalgam of styles, it takes cues from electronica-pop, new wave, and indie/shoegazer music that all blend together with retro-futuristic sounds, heavenly vocals, and melancholic lyrics.
